Welcome to the Ontario Trillium Foundation website. I hope that your visit provides the information and guidance you are seeking. I also encourage you to take the opportunity to find out how we are helping to build healthy and vibrant communities.
We are Canada's leading charitable grant making foundation and this journey started in 1982. As an agency of the Government of Ontario we are proud to work with not-for-profit and charitable organizations from across the province. Our investments in community-based initiatives strengthen the capacity of organizations and the voluntary sector. Through each grant we support, we live our mission.
We know we make a difference in the lives of Ontarians and we do this with a dedicated Board of Directors and local Grant Review Teams, who volunteer because they want to positively contribute to their communities.
The Foundation staff are knowledgeable and an important asset to our continued success. We are constantly striving for ways to improve what we do in order to increase our impact. Our new on line system for grant seekers is getting rave reviews and we encourage not-for-profit groups looking for funding to visit the Apply for a grant section of our site. There you can access relevant information, as well as getting the name and contact information for Foundation staff to speak with regarding your project.
We are fortunate to work collaboratively with the voluntary sector to create positive impact in Ontario. Part of our success can be traced to our commitment to learning and evaluation. Information on our granting outcomes and research are assets that we value greatly. Our Knowledge Sharing Centre is a great way for grant seekers and members of the large not-for-profit sector to stay current.
I am proud to be heading the Ontario Trillium Foundation and invite you to follow me on twitter at CEOatOTF. Check us out on Facebook and keep current with our many interesting bloggers. I look forward to providing you with updates on the work we do as we continue to build healthy and vibrant communities across the province.
