What Volunteers Are Saying

"My passion is social change, reducing health disparities and addressing community priorities. OTF provides a great platform to help me realize these goals, while also contributing to building a strong and vibrant not-for-profit sector in Ontario. My role as a GRT member complements my professional goals as a public policy professional in the health and human services sectors. In turn, I feel I bring special knowledge, experience and vibrancy to my GRT role. I'm proud to volunteer as a GRT member. I know I make a difference!"  - Tanya Rumble, Halton-Peel GRT member

Kehinde Bah, Toronto GRT member"I became a GRT member because I believe strongly in the potential for community programs to catalyze real change. I felt the Foundation could benefit by having younger voices at the table. As a youth, I had many great experiences creating programs and opportunities for my peers, but I wouldn't be where I am without others advocating on my behalf when I seemed too young to be given a chance. That's why I'm here, to ensure others get more chances. I encourage others to seize this opportunity to serve. OTF is a great place to learn, enlighten, and make a difference."

Stephanie Attwood, former Quinte, Kingston, Rideau Grant Review Team member 2003-2009"Being  an OTF Grant Review Team volunteer is great for anyone who wants to learn more about the not-for-profit sector and give back to their community.  It's a once -in-a-lifetime experience for someone to grow, both personally and professionally, through knowledge sharing, accountability and learning, all within a supportive team environment."
