Centre de santé communautaire de Sudbury$50,000 over one year to hire a co-ordinator who will increase awareness and partnerships and recruit volunteers for the Francophone Corner Clinic. This will enhance services in French for people who are homeless and near-homeless in Greater Sudbury.
Cinefest; The Sudbury Film Festival$80,000 over one year to purchase equipment and hire staff to enhance organizational capacity. This will strengthen this volunteer organization, increasing its effectiveness and its ability to promote arts and culture in Northern Ontario.
Conseil des Arts de Hearst$14,600 over one year to purchase a scissor lift, which will increase safety and create efficiencies to maintain this community-based performing-arts space in Hearst.
The Corporation of the City of Elliot Lake$13,100 over one year to purchase new automated equipment to provide more efficient circulation services and enhanced security for the public library's resources.
The Corporation of the Township of Laird$35,000 over one year to purchase new playground equipment, which will provide a safer play area and encourage physical activity for children in this rural community.

Kamiskotia Snow Resort (Non-Profit) Inc.$75,000 over one year toward the cost of replacing 116 chair-and-hanger assemblies on the two quad lifts at the snow resort to improve their safety for users in the Timmins area.
Le Centre Alpha-culturel de Sudbury$40,000 over one year to develop and implement marketing and fundraising strategies. This will increase this literacy organization's capacity to meet the needs of French-speaking members of the Greater Sudbury community.
Le Festival de la mauvaise herbe et le Salon du livre jeunesse a/s Le Salon du Livre du Grand Sudbury$70,000 over one year to enable this collaborative to hire a co-ordinator who will plan and implement Francophone literary activities for youth in Greater Sudbury and area.
Matheson & District Agricultural Society$10,000 over one year to replace the existing furnaces with new heating and air conditioning units to make the agricultural hall a safer and more comfortable gathering place for community groups.
Michipicoten Rod and Gun Club$3,900 over one year for renovations to the roof and side-wall baffles of the club's indoor shooting range to comply with requirements of the Canadian Firearms Office.
Municipalité de Mattice-Val Côté$40,000 over one year to install a new dry operation condenser in the recreation complex. This will ensure the space remains affordable for hockey, curling, ringette and recreational skaters in Mattice-Val Côté.
Municipality of French River$25,000 over one year to renovate washrooms and modify entrances in the Noelville Community Centre. This will ensure that recreation, social and cultural activities are accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities in the area.
Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie$67,500 over one year to purchase canopy tents, folding tables and folding chairs to enhance and expand Rotaryfest, Sault Ste. Marie's summer festival.
Sault Ste Marie Model Aircraft Radio Control Club Inc.$14,900 over one year to construct a new airfield that will permit community members to continue flying radio-controlled model airplanes in a space that meets all safety guidelines.
Sault Theatre Workshop$15,000 over one year to replace the lighting control console and stage lights to enhance theatrical presentations at the Studio Theatre.
Serpent River First Nation$14,700 over one year for equipment and renovations to enhance the library for students and other users.

This will enable this collaborative to increase opportunities for employment for individuals experiencing barriers in Chapleau.

Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre$45,000 over 18 months for an assistant manager of marketing, who will develop and implement a marketing strategy to attract more visitors and tourists to this Sault Ste. Marie centre.
Centre de counselling familial de Timmins Inc./Timmins Family Counselling Centre Inc.$16,700 over one year to hire a consultant who will assist the organization in a strategic planning exercise. Plans will be made to enhance the Centre's therapeutic counseling services for individuals, couples and families.
Community Food First c/o Foodshed Project, The$83,600 over two years to hire staff to conduct outreach in Greater Sudbury. The project will engage youth in hands-on projects that increase understanding of the relationship between food sustainability and the environment.
Community Living Greater Sudbury/Intégration Communautaire Grand Sudbury$15,000 over one year to purchase a portable modular ramp system to increase accessibility for people of all ages and abilities in Greater Sudbury and area.

Credit Counselling Services of Cochrane District$90,000 over two years towards hiring an educational counselor and office equipment. This staff member will help increase public awareness and understanding of sound money-management principles and the wise use of credit.
Dolphin Aquatic Club$15,000 to help purchase a breathing-air compressor system for use in underwater diving. The equipment will ensure safety and security, help to promote this sport and enable underwater recovery services to be offered in the Greater Sudbury area.
Dubreuilville Pivot-Jeunesse Inc.$15,000 over one year to purchase furniture and equipment for a Francophone teen centre, which will ensure a safe and comfortable space for youth to gather in Dubreuilville.
FormationPLUS$19,000 to assist with the cost of hiring a co-ordinator who will develop new marketing and outreach strategies. Existing programs will also be adapted to help meet the skills-training needs of Francophone adult learners in Chapleau and area.
Laurentian Community Track - Track North Athletic Club c/o Ontario Track and Field Association$55,000 over one year to help purchase equipment for an athletic facility being upgraded by a collaborative in the Greater Sudbury area. This volunteer-run club will promote active, healthy living and contribute to the area's economic development.
Le Groupe d'Appui VIH-SIDA de Sudbury$60,000 over two years to help establish and operate a day hospice in both official languages. The facility will provide support, care and respite for individuals with terminal illnesses and their families in Sudbury and Manitoulin districts.
Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury$66,600 over two years to expand a coaching program that matches student teachers and children with learning disabilities to help them develop learning strategies to succeed in school. The organization will also enhance their community outreach.
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Sudbury c/o Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Ontario Division$60,000 over one year to replace the siding, reinsulate walls and reshingle the roof of the organization's building. Energy efficiency and safety will improve in this facility for people with multiple sclerosis and the community of Greater Sudbury.
Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer$80,000 over two years to hire a volunteer and fund development co-ordinator. This new staff member will help to build the organization's capacity, raise its profile in Algoma, Cochrane, Sudbury and Manitoulin and increase volunteerism.
Rockhaven$60,000 over two years to hire a transition worker to provide additional support for men of all ages in recovery. More clients will be helped to find long-term housing and employment and to develop a strong support network in Sudbury and Manitoulin.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 177 - Little Current$15,000 over one year to purchase new kitchen equipment for the Legion hall, which will help to make it a safer and more comfortable gathering place for the community.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 194 - Hornepayne$15,000 over one year to replace the existing furnace in the building. This will help improve energy efficiency, cut costs and ensure that there continues to be a safe, comfortable space for community groups to meet.
Sault North Waste Management Council$35,800 over one year for a co-ordinator, equipment and administration to deliver a recycling program. Residents of the area north of Sault Ste. Marie will then be able to learn about best practices for waste management in the area.
Searchmont Ski Runners Inc.$30,000 over one year to purchase new gates and fencing and upgrade the public address system and timing equipment. The organization will then be able to attract more volunteers and deliver safer, better-quality alpine ski events and programs.
Serpent River First Nation$15,000 over one year to replace the tables and chairs in its community centre, which will help provide a safer and more comfortable place for community groups to gather.
Sheshegwaning First Nation$15,000 over one year to provide electrical service and build two arbours at the new pow wow grounds. The structures will shelter drum groups and the sacred fire during annual pow wow and other traditional ceremonies.
Soo Arena Association$77,300 over one year to purchase a new ice resurfacing machine. This equipment will enhance the quality of ice, save maintenance costs and reduce emissions in the arena, making it safer for skaters and spectators.
St. Martin De Porres Community Charities$36,000 over one year to purchase a truck with a power-lift gate. This addition will facilitate the pick up and delivery of food and household goods, which go to support its food bank for people in need in the Timmins area.
Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club$40,000 over one year to purchase electronic timing pads and starting blocks. The club may then continue hosting competitive swim meets for athletes throughout northern Ontario, encouraging healthy exercise and community support for the sport.

Bruce Mines Pastoral Charge$15,000 over one year for insulation, new windows and doors at the Bruce Mines United Church. The upgrades will improve the facility's energy efficiency and make it a safer and more comfortable gathering place for community groups.
Capreol Curling Club$50,000 over one year to replace the roof and renovate the entrance of the curling club. These repairs will help ensure the continued use of the building and its accessibility for people of all ages and abilities in Capreol.
Centre des aînés de Hearst c/o Club Soleil des Aînés$120,000 over three years for staff to ensure the smooth merger of two independent not-for-profit seniors' centres. The collaborative will provide greater efficiencies to meet the needs of Francophone seniors in Hearst.
Children First c/o Sudbury Manitoulin Children's Foundation$150,000 over three years to hire a volunteer and fund development co-ordinator. The new position will increase volunteerism and raise the profiles of the collaborative and member charities in Greater Sudbury and area.
Community Living Algoma$58,700 over one year to fund a community inclusion facilitator. The position will identify and implement opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to play active and integrated roles in community life that match their personal goals.
Corporation of the Town of Blind River$25,000 over one year to purchase and install play structures for community parks. The improvements will provide safer play areas and encourage children to be physically active.
The Corporation of the Township of Assiginack$15,000 over one year to replace the steel roof on Burns Wharf building and to re-side the north and east walls of the Manitoulin Roller Mills. The repairs will enable the buildings to remain open for community use in Manitowaning.
Corporation of the Township of White River$33,300 over one year to purchase new playground equipment, which will provide a safer play area and encourage physical activity for children in the community.
Elliot Lake Lifelong Learning$27,500 over one year for leasehold renovations, classrooms and a computer lab. These modifications will enable the organization to expand access to lifelong learning opportunities for seniors in Elliot Lake.
Espanola Historical Society$15,000 over one year to create a small accessible heritage park. A mural depicting the colourful history of the town of Espanola will be incorporated, increasing residents' and visitors' awareness of the community's history.
Kapuskasing Public Library c/o Township of Kapuskasing$30,000 over one year to equip the library's resource centre with shelving and computer-furnishing equipment. These upgrades will provide increased access to learning for people of all ages and abilities in Kapuskasing.
KidsHope: Promoting Healthy Lifestyles Inc.$30,000 over one year to hire a co-ordinator who will produce a fundraising and marketing plan. This will help to ensure the continued sustainability of the organization's drug and abuse prevention programs in the Sault Ste. Marie area.
Kinsmen Club of Sault Ste. Marie$12,000 over one year to purchase an ATV, lawn sweeper and wood chipper, which will improve and maintain Kinsmen Park for hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities.
Le Froche c/o Le Carrefour Francophone de Sudbury$50,000 over one year for staff, fees and travel expenses to engage Francophone youth in organizing various Francophone festivals including le FROCHE, St. Jean-Baptiste and Winter Carnival in Sudbury.
Le Groupe SONnord$3,000 over one year to purchase a tenor saxophone that will enable the group to continue providing concerts for people of all ages and abilities in Kapuskasing and area.
Neegoni Wabun Gi Gay Win Lodge Inc.$23,500 over one year to build the administrative capacity of the Aboriginal healing lodge in Algoma. This will help the organization administer its grants and respond to requests for traditional healing. Another OTF grant will support this activity.
Providence Bay Curling Club$15, 000 over one year to install non-skid flooring, steel washroom doors, new fire equipment and ceilings. The upgrades will increase safety and ensure accessibility to the club for people of all ages and abilities in Providence Bay.
Rainbow Routes Association$50,000 over one year to fund the Learning Through Trails program, which will increase children and youths' knowledge about ecosystems and natural environments in Greater Sudbury.
The Sault Ste. Marie Community Theatre Centre$15,000 over one year to update the software and hardware systems of the theatre box office. The new tools will improve ticketing operations and introduce on-line ticketing.
Sault Ste. Marie Family YMCA$30,000 over one year for renovations and equipment for an exercise and gaming room to increase physical activity for youth.
Sault Ste. Marie Sports Council Inc.$45,800 over one year to fund a full-time co-ordinator. Activities for sports and recreation groups in the community will be organized and citizens encouraged to participate in order to improve their fitness and health.
Seizure and Brain Injury Centre$50,000 over one year to hire a project co-ordinator. Outreach will be conducted to individuals affected by seizures and acquired brain injury in the First Nations communities in Cochrane and Chapleau.
United Way / Centraide Sudbury and District$90,000 over two years for staff and costs to measure and evaluate programs and services in both official languages in Greater Sudbury and area.
United Way of Sault Ste. Marie$6,000 over one year to purchase a modular meeting table and 25 chairs for the United Way boardroom. The facility will then be able to accommodate various meeting formats for community groups that use the room.
Vincent Place Inc.$50,000 over two years for a transitional case manager. Residents of this shelter for homeless men in Sault Ste. Marie will then be given more assistance to find long-term housing, prepare for employment and integrate into the community.
Warren and Area Historical Society$5,300 over a year to purchase furniture and equipment that will ensure the new Maggie Track Museum can preserve and exhibit historical artifacts for the community of Warren and its visitors.
Wawa Cross-Country Ski Club$12,500 over one year to purchase a new snowmobile, which will enhance the grooming of the club's cross-country ski trails and provide a safer and better recreational opportunity for users.
Weengushk Film Institute$75,000 over 18 months to purchase production equipment that will help the organization initiate a film-and-television training program on Manitoulin Island for Aboriginal youth. Another OTF grant will support this activity.
