The Community grants listed below were ratified on March 6, 2008.2008 Ontario Summer Games c/o Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club$10,000 over one year to support the 2008 Ontario Summer Games in Ottawa by purchasing track and field hurdles, field hockey nets and balls for various sports. These will be utilized by local sporting organizations after the event.
Anxiety Disorders Association of Ontario$13,000 over one year for a training conference, materials and administration. Funding will increase the organization's capacity to deliver a 14-week support program and develop new support services for families and friends in the Ottawa area.
Barnet Park Committee c/o Township of Greater Madawaska$45,300 over six months to make Barnet Park's community building and waterfront fully accessible. Upgrades will increase opportunities for seniors and people with disabilities to participate in recreational activities in Calabogie.
Centre Novas-CALACS francophone de Prescott-Russell$60,000 over two years for a co-ordinator and training to support a program designed to educate Francophone children aged 6 to 12 years, parents and teachers about sexual violence against children and youth in Prescott-Russell.
City for All Women c/o Lowertown Community Resource Centre$65,000 over one year for a co-ordinator and the administrative cost to evaluate the impact and continue to provide the City for All Women initiative. The program offers civic participation training for women leaders in various diverse, high-need communities in Ottawa.
Cornwall Youth Fitness Initiative c/o Laurencrest Youth Services$30,000 over six months for a fitness program to help underprivileged teens and youth at risk learn fitness and weight training in a youth-centred environment. Seminars and exercise will help promote health, fitness and community engagement.
Corps de Cadets, 2804 Casselman a/s Ligue des cadets de l'armée du Canada (Ontario)$14,500 over six months to purchase office and sports equipment, and musical instruments to enable the Corps to continue its recreation programs for youth aged 12 to 18 years in this rural area.
Council of Heritage Organizations in Ottawa$55,400 over two years for an executive director and project co-ordinator who will provide professional development, centralized training and other heritage services to volunteers and staff in local heritage organizations in the Ottawa area.
Cumberland Lions Club$33,000 over one year to increase access to Maple Hall in Cumberland for people of all abilities by installing two new accessibility ramps, improving an existing third ramp, and adding a barrier-free washroom.
Denbigh Griffith Lions Club$35,000 over six months to make the main hall and washrooms of this well-used community facility accessible to people of all abilities. The kitchen will also be renovated and updated according to current provincial health codes.
Eganville and District Athletic Association$15,000 over one year to replace the ceiling over the curling rink's surface and repair the clubhouse floor. These repairs will provide a safer facility for all curlers and users of this recreational facility.
Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa$65,000 over three years to develop a training course that will teach people how to convert gas-powered cars to electric-powered vehicles. This will promote environmental stewardship and produce one electric car per workshop.
Families Matter Co-operative$155,400 over three years for staff, consultants and overhead costs to increase the organization's capacity to launch new initiatives. Supportive housing and employment opportunities will increase for people with developmental disabilities in Ottawa.
Festival franco-ontarien (2006)$30,000 over eight months to hire 10 franco-Ontarian artists and artisans who will work with youth in Francophone schools to develop a cultural event in Ottawa. The event will encourage youth participation and promote Francophone culture.
Friends of the Macdonell-Williamson House$49,600 over one year to support a bilingual mobile genealogy project in Chute-à-Blondeau that will promote interaction between seniors and youth who will research and document local history.
Glendaler's Winter Sports Club$30,000 over one year to repair and upgrade 125 kilometres of recreational trails and bridges. This initiative will make the trail system safer for ATV drivers in the townships of North and South Glengarry and extend it to join other trail systems.
Glengarry Historical Society$44,000 over two years for staff resources and computers to complete an inventory and digitize the organization's 6,000 historical documents. Volunteers will be trained and important archives preserved for the entire community to treasure and enjoy.
Gloucester Concordes Speed Skating Club c/o Ontario Speed Skating Association$22,000 over one year to improve the safety of speed skaters aged 5 to 65 years by purchasing 48-inch safety mats to properly cover the rink boards and protect participants from injury.
Groupe des Deux$12,800 over one year to purchase equipment and artistic resources that will increase the capacity of this new theatre to write and present quality theatrical productions for people of all ages within Ottawa's Francophone community.
Habitat for Humanity - Seaway Valley$68,200 over 15 months for an executive director to help build the capacity of the organization. Strategic, fundraising and volunteer recruitment plans will be developed and implemented with the goal of building a new Habitat home in 2009.
Harvest House Residential Treatment Program$27,000 over one year to consolidate and expand the Run for Your Life program, an Ottawa-based initiative that allows young adults recovering from addictions to develop healthy, active lifestyle choices.
Hawkesbury Central Food Bank$15,000 over one year to purchase and install three new energy-efficient freezers at the Central Hawkesbury Food Bank. These will enhance food services so more families in need can receive a wider variety of perishable food.
Hospice Renfrew$45,000 over one year to provide administrative support to the executive director and board. This will increase the capacity of the organization to operate this newly constructed six-bed palliative hospice facility in Renfrew.
Jewish Youth Library$65,500 over two years to continue providing social opportunities to children with special needs through the Friendship Circle program, an initiative that matches teen volunteers with children who have disabilities living in Ottawa.
La Friperie de Hawkesbury$9,000 over six months to purchase equipment and renovate the shop, increasing efficiency and safety for workers, student volunteers and customers of this used clothing store that services low-income families.
Madawaska Valley Association for Community Living$60,000 over one year to open a candy shop that will provide skills and employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Opportunities will be provided to learn daily living skills and establish links with the community of Barry's Bay.
Multicultural Association of Orléans (Ottawa)$35,000 over two years to develop and implement recreational and leisure programs for seniors from ethno-cultural and visible-minority communities in Orleans.
My Neighbourhood Voice c/o South-East Ottawa Centre for a Healthy Community$65,000 over one year for a project co-ordinator, a computer and costs to support a community arts initiative. Residents from Ottawa neighbourhoods will express their views of the strengths and needs of their community in photographic exhibits.
National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA$140,000 over two years to conduct research and develop program and service models. Results will help identify the best programs and services to meet community needs in Orleans, Clarence-Rockland and Ottawa.
Operation Go Home$30,000 over six months to upgrade office furniture and equipment in order to enhance the quality of services offered to street-involved youth in Ottawa.
Orleans Arts Centre Partners - Capacity Building Project c/o Arts Ottawa East$80,000 over 18 months to provide training, advice and mentorship to arts organizations in East Ottawa in order to ensure their ongoing sustainability.
Ottawa 60+ Slo-Pitch League$9,400 over one year to purchase new sporting and safety equipment that will allow seniors over 60 years of age to stay active and continue playing slow-pitch softball in a safe environment.
Ottawa Chinese-Canadian Heritage Foundation$15,000 over six months to install a ramp and protective railing that will make this well-used community facility more accessible to seniors and people of all abilities, especially within the Chinese community.
Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival$105,000 over three years to hire a development officer who will increase fundraising and a site manager to oversee the on-site logistics of the festival, including the co-ordination of volunteers.
Ottawa Shooting Stars Basketball Club$10,000 over one year to increase the organization's ability to implement the new International Basketball Federation (FIBA) rules by purchasing shot clocks.
Ottawa Storytellers$8,700 over one year for a part-time administrative co-ordinator and computer equipment. These will increase the group's capacity, promote its ongoing activities, develop interest in the art form and attract new listeners and tellers.
Ottawa Table Tennis Club c/o Ottawa Chinese-Canadian Heritage Centre$13,200 over one year to purchase additional equipment and improve lighting and floor quality in the gym. More individuals, including seniors within the Chinese community, will be able to safely participate in the sport of table tennis.
Ottawa Valley Local Food Collaborative c/o Ottawa River Institute$89,700 over two years for a co-ordinator, materials and costs to stimulate green economic growth in agriculture and food sectors. The collaborative will increase awareness, and the market for local foods and products in Renfrew County will grow.
Regroupement des partenaires francophones$99,000 over three years for staff, kitchen rental and equipment. This grant will support the development of a social enterprise that will create employment opportunities for Francophone adults with developmental disabilities in the Ottawa area.
Rolph Buchanan Wylie & McKay Historical Society$14,000 over one year to replace artifacts, showcases and equipment lost in a fire. This will allow the organization to reopen the School House Museum, a valued community meeting place for members of Meilleurs Bay and the surrounding area.
Scouts Canada, 1st Renfrew Scout Group c/o Scouts Canada$14,000 over one year to purchase additional sporting equipment that will allow for new opportunities for children and youth ages 5 to 19 years to enjoy outdoor activities at the Legewade Cub and Scout Camp near Renfrew.
Scouts Canada, 4th Orleans Scout Group c/o Scouts Canada$14,600 over one year to purchase camping and storage equipment that will enhance existing outdoor activities for children and youth.
Sketch Orléans$45,000 over one year for a project co-ordinator to increase the organization's capacity. A youth-operated, entrepreneurial social enterprise will be developed to provide leisure and recreational opportunities for teens living in Orleans.
Ski-Vent-Clic$13,700 over six months to purchase an all-terrain vehicle that will enable the cross-country ski trails in Vankleek Hill to be maintained and groomed for the safety and the enjoyment of children and youth.
Solar Domestic Hot Water Pilot Project c/o Sustainable Ottawa Community Energy Co-operative$54,700 over three years to develop and deliver a public outreach and education program. Green energy technology will be promoted and community participation engaged to install 250 residential solar domestic hot-water systems in Ottawa.
Soloway Jewish Community Centre$13,200 over one year to increase accessibility to the centre's washroom and change rooms so that people with limited mobility can fully participate in this Ottawa organization's wide range of leisure, cultural and fitness programs.
South Ottawa Little League$16,800 over one year to train coaches and umpires and purchase equipment for players and field maintenance. This will help ensure that children and youth aged 4 to 19 years can continue to enjoy healthy recreation through softball and baseball.
St. John the Baptist Anglican Church - Richmond$15,000 over six months to create accessible washrooms and purchase a dishwasher. These will enable the parish hall to better meet the needs of seniors and weekly day-hospice program participants.
St. Joseph's Parish$57,000 over three years to hire a part-time program director who will increase volunteer involvement and improve the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of the Supper Table program that provides hot meals to people in need in Ottawa.
St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences$45,900 over two years for full-time staff, a computer and communication expenses to develop and implement fundraising and communications plans. Community outreach will then increase, raising awareness of the organization and its mission.
Tamir Foundation$60,000 over six months to install an access ramp to the lower level of the foundation's building. This will facilitate the relocation and amalgamation of programs offered to people with developmental disabilities in Ottawa.
Théâtre Tremplin$20,000 over one year for a development co-ordinator, volunteer training and overhead to assist with the capacity development of this organization. More people will then be able to enjoy Francophone community theatre in Vanier.
Town of Arnprior$56,100 over one year to create an adequate storage area and increase display space as well as to create an appropriate learning space at the Arnprior and District Museum.
Township of Admaston/Bromley$35,200 over six months to automate the public library's collection and update its catalogue systems. It will then meet provincial standards and be able to provide on-line access to library resources for residents of this rural community.
Winchester Curling Club$58,000 to ensure the facility's cooling system is operational for the next curling season by replacing the chiller, condenser and compressor. This will ensure the venue remains open and available to curlers and other community groups.
Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa$139,600 over three years for staff, transportation and office equipment to enhance current youth engagement programs and to develop a new sexual-health and well-being initiative led by newly-added youth-peer leaders.

This technology project for social-housing residents in Ottawa encourages the gaining of employment/experience in high-tech industries through on-site technical services and activities.
A Post Psychiatric Leisure Experience$59,000 over two years to launch a consumer-operated thrift shop. It will provide employment training and give Ottawa-area members with psychiatric disabilities access to employment opportunities by supplying clothing at minimal cost.
Air Cadet League of Canada, Squadron 51$14,500 over one year to purchase musical instruments, sports and camping equipment and educational tools. These will increase participation by youth from low and fixed income families in a range of activities offered by this Ottawa organization.
Aphasia Centre of Ottawa$96,000 over two years to allow the organization to more effectively respond to a growing demand for services. Administrative structures will improve, fundraising capacity will increase and professional staff will be more available.
Barrhaven Girls Basketball Association$14,000 over one year to purchase fifteen shot clocks and help the club implement international Basketball Federation rules and conform to Basketball Ontario standards at the community level.
Bonnechere River Watershed Project$21,000 to pilot an on-line tool for watershed planning for the Renfrew-to-Douglas reach of the Bonnechere River Watershed. The community will define and compile information and evaluate web-based tools relative to interests and user habits.
Building Evaluation Capacity c/o Earth Day Canada (1991) Inc.$42,600 over two years to facilitate an evaluation/ capacity-building process for two environmental organizations and increase their ability to plan and deliver effective projects and programs. (Another OTF grant will support this activity)
Canadian Biodiversity Institute$60,900 over two years to provide education, raise awareness and develop responses to climate change issues by women in the Ottawa area. Activities will include developing focused information materials and holding discussion groups and workshops.
Canadian Tribute to Human Rights$30,000 over one year to design, produce and install the final 26 Aboriginal-languages plaques in the core of the Canadian Tribute to Human Rights monument in Ottawa.
Canton d'Alfred et Plantagenet$25,000 over one year to install an outdoor swimming pool in the municipality of Alfred-Plantagenet and help increase opportunities for physical activity for this rural community.
Centre communautaire Franc-Ouest d'Ottawa-Carleton$25,000 over one year for marketing, administration costs and the hiring of a co-ordinator to support the Festival de la Famille en Fête, a culturally diverse artistic event for the Francophone community of Ottawa West.
Centre francophone de Vanier$50,000 over one year to refit the roof of this important recreation and leisure centre in Vanier, which will enable it to continue providing cultural and leisure activities to the area's diverse Francophone community.
Centre haïtien des carrières et des emplois$12,000 over one year to provide job training to Francophone ethno-cultural youth in the Ottawa area so they can find and retain employment.
Childs Auditorium Upgrade Committee c/o Deep River Community Association$40,400 over one year to purchase portable stage lighting and related equipment that will be used for performances and workshops by theatrical, music, ballet and other community groups operating in Deep River.
Circle for Iranian Architectural Studies$15,000 over one year to organize workshops and performing events that will increase the Ottawa public's knowledge of Iranian theatre, storytelling and architecture.
Club 60 a/s Village de Casselman$20,000 over one year to assist with the renovations of the building used by Club 60 of Casselman in order to make it accessible to people with mobility issues.
Club l'Amicale Belle Rive$20,000 over one year to replace the flooring and purchase a new sound system for this seniors club in Clarence-Rockland. This will increase and sustain recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
Coopérative Franco-Présence$15,500 over one year to assist with the establishment of an artistic social enterprise for French-language artists from culturally-diverse backgrounds in the City of Ottawa.
Coopérative multiservices$49,500 over nine months to convert the gymnasium of this Sarsfield organization into an auditorium, conference room and meeting rooms. This will increase its ability to generate rental funds while providing recreation and community services.
Coro Vivo Ottawa$14,900 over one year to refurbish a grand piano, purchase a sound mixer, accessories, computer and software for this choir located in Ottawa East. Funds will help promote cultural and artistic activities in the community.
Eganville Figure Skating Club c/o Skate Canada - Eastern Ontario$8,000 over six months to enhance existing programming by offering new dance and hockey programs for figure skaters, host a local skating competition, and increase the profile of the organization through website creation.
EnviroCentre$114,900 over three years to help low-income households in Ottawa benefit from cost-effective, energy-efficiency upgrades. Experienced technicians will make service calls, install needed devices and teach energy-saving strategies.
Families CAN c/o Tri-County Literacy Council of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry$129,500 over three years to expand Families CAN, an in-home early-years literacy program, in Akwesasne and throughout the counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and Prescott-Russell.
Family and Children's Services of Renfrew County$84,000 over two years to allow children at risk to have greater access to various early-education and social development programs deemed to have a significant and positive impact on their future development.

Groupe Convex Prescott-Russell$130,000 over two years to allow the organization to share its expertise in social enterprise development by training and mentoring other local agencies that help individuals who face barriers to employment.
Knights of Columbus$14,700 over six months to repair the building's chairlift and make the second-floor washroom fully accessible. The facility may then be used by the many clients, tenants and organization members of all abilities in the Cornwall community.
Literacy Plus$8,800 over six months to design and print promotional materials and purchase related equipment. Funds will increase the organization's capacity to raise funds by seeking corporate sponsorships in Renfrew County and beyond.

Metcalfe Curling Club$48,800 over one year to purchase curling rocks and improve energy efficiency and safety by installing new lights and a dehumidifier. The ice surface will improve and players' ability to learn and appreciate the sport will be enhanced.
Nepean Housing Corporation$43,700 over one year to increase access to programs and services for residents of the area's social housing projects. Community members will be engaged to address pressing social issues that affect the quality of life in their neighbourhood.
Ottawa Chinese-Canadian Heritage Centre$16,900 over six months to provide social, recreational and educational services for Chinese-Canadian seniors in Ottawa by hiring a co-ordinator.
Ottawa Choral Society$45,000 over three years for equipment and resources to increase the capacity of this choral society and strengthen its administrative and financial structure. This will help the society grow artistically and continue to contribute to the community.
Ottawa District Hockey Association$43,500 over one year to purchase computer equipment and training materials, which will facilitate the delivery of training sessions and hockey development programs throughout Ottawa and area counties.
Ottawa Network for Borderline Personality Disorder$2,800 over one year to translate the Family Connections Program manual and brochure so that the program can be offered to help Francophone family members effectively cope with borderline personality disorder.
Ottawa Synchronized Swim Club$20,000 over one year to purchase training equipment and course materials that will provide specialized support resources to all swimmers and promote access and participation in the sport of synchronized swimming.
Ottawa Torah Center$40,000 over one year to develop and provide a series of culturally enriching, hands-on programs to Ottawa-area children aged 6 to 12 years. Respect for diversity, appreciation of heritage and sensitivity to differences will be promoted.
Overbrook-Forbes Community Resource Centre$75,000 over six months to renovate space that the Emergency Food Bank Program and the Youth Drop-In Centre programs will share. This will improve the efficiency of the food bank and help expand current youth centre programs in East Ottawa.
Pinecrest-Queensway Health and Community Services$135,000 over two years to support the implementation of the Pathways to Education program in six social-housing neighbourhoods in Ottawa. The program helps improve academic retention, attainment and success for high-school students at risk.
Propeller Dance$100,000 over two years to establish and operate this program, which aims to provide inclusive, integrated and accessible dance training, education and public-performance opportunities to people of all abilities in Ottawa.
Regroupement ethnoculturel des parents francophones de l'Ontario$42,000 over 22 months to consolidate administration and help establish a joint school and community task force. Communication will improve and culturally diverse families in the Ottawa area will become more involved in their children's schools.
Russell Agricultural Society$26,300 over one year to purchase a portable and fully accessible stage that will enhance the safety of volunteers and performers during various community events in the rural community of Russell and area.
Russell Basketball Association c/o Basketball Ontario$8,300 over one year to purchase two shot clocks, helping to implement International Basketball Federation rules and conform to Basketball Ontario standards. The group's capacity to serve girls aged 5 to 16 years will also be enhanced.
SAW Video Association$30,000 over one year to increase and enhance outreach to the Aboriginal and Francophone communities through a series of program activities. This will help promote the art of video production in the Ottawa area.
Search and Rescue Global 1$15,000 over six months to allow the group to expand services in Eastern Ontario and purchase equipment so that search and rescue operations carried out by trained volunteers can be done in a safer, more efficient fashion.
Seventeen Voyces$30,000 over three years to strengthen the capacity of this chamber music choir to deliver high-quality and innovative concerts in Ottawa. More youth and seniors will then be reached, and operating, financial and fundraising strategies secured.
Sierra Youth Coalition c/o Sierra Club of Canada Foundation$118,300 over two years to expand the Sustainable High Schools Project into schools in the Ottawa area. High schools will be challenged to be models of sustainability through workshops, training sessions, mentorship and indicator-based assessments.
St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage Performances$9,900 over one year to purchase a complete sound system. The equipment will improve the sound quality during development workshops and performances by community musicians and songwriters of all ages in Eastern Ontario.
St. Lawrence Valley Agricultural Society$50,000 over one year toward building renovations that will provide better and safer meeting, office and storage spaces for use in the community groups in Williamstown and surrounding areas.
Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Society$20,000 over two years to increase the capacity of this Ottawa-based Ukrainian dance society. Awareness and participation by people of all ages and from all cultural backgrounds living in Ottawa will be enhanced.
Swinging Swallows Modern Square Dance Club c/o Eastern Ontario Square and Round Dance Association$16,200 over one year to upgrade sound and music equipment and create and implement a marketing strategy. Participation will increase and support workshops will be offered to develop and strengthen the skills of dancers and callers.
Théâtre jeunesse en tête$14,600 over one year for portable lighting, office equipment and writing tools. The capacity of this Francophone theatre will then increase, enabling it to continue presenting quality productions to children and youth aged 6 to 17 years in Ottawa.
Town of Renfrew$15,000 over one year to replace antiquated and inadequate stage lighting at the recreation centre. The quality of theatrical productions, performances and workshops offered at the centre will then be enhanced.
Township of Madawaska Valley$9,800 over six months to renovate the educational space at the art centre. Equipment will be purchased to support the delivery of arts education programming to children, youth and adults in Barry's Bay and surrounding area.
Township of North Glengarry$45,000 over one year to build a new concrete skate park in Alexandria for children and youth to practice and enjoy recreational activities such as skateboarding, BMX biking and in-line skating.
Township of North Stormont$15,000 over one year to restore the pool walls at the Moose Creek pool, which offers bilingual swim programs to children, youth and adults in the Township of North Stormont and area.
Township of South Glengarry$8,200 over nine months to restore the original ceiling and lighting in the Lancaster Library. The project will help recapture the historical and architectural features of the building and encourage community interest in its heritage.
Township of South Glengarry$30,000 over eight months to replace the play structure in Smithfield Park in the Village of Lancaster. New equipment will provide a safer environment and act as a catalyst for the community to redevelop the entire park.
Youth Excelling in Education c/o South East Ottawa Centre for a Healthy Community$51,000 over two years to continue offering after-school homework clubs for high school students from immigrant, refugee and low-income families in Southeast Ottawa. Tutors will be hired and administrative and evaluation costs will be covered.
Youth Mentorship Program c/o Cornwall Youth Centre$48,000 over one year to allow for further consolidation of the Youth Mentorship Program. The initiative provides positive role models for high school students at risk of dropping out by matching them with college level students.

Canton de Hawkesbury Est $27,200 to purchase playground equipment for the municipal park in St-Eugène, which will help create opportunities and enhance outdoor play for children aged 2-1/2 to 12 years.
Centre Agapè Center $75,000 over one year to install a lift that will make the organization's new centre fully accessible to the entire Cornwall community. Communications materials will also be produced to publicize the move to a new location.
Chevaliers de Colomb 10143 $10,000 over six months to support the Festival de la Famille in Hawkesbury, an annual Francophone recreational and cultural event that attracts 4,000 people to the area.
Clean Air Champions $21,800 over two years to implement the Clean Air Achievers program in Ottawa schools. It will encourage youth aged 11 to 15 years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve their fitness levels through active modes of transport and lifestyle. (Additional grants of $10,500 to Halton-Peel and $117,700 to Toronto will support this activity)
Coopérative pour le bien-être des aînés francophones de l'est de l'Ontario $54,000 over two years to determine the feasibility of a co-operative housing program for Francophone seniors in Ottawa and develop further recreational activities for the various ethnoracial communities in this large group.
Cornwall Carbon Reduction Initiative c/o St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences $55,000 over one year to develop the carbon-reduction initiative in Cornwall by building partnerships, thereby developing a website and hiring a co-ordinator, encouraging residents to become aware of their carbon footprints and reduce them.
Corporation of the Nation Municipality $15,000 over one year to purchase equipment for a splash pad facility in the Rodolphe Latreille Park in Limoges that will provide a free, safe and fun way for children to stay cool and play outside in the summer months.
Corporation of the Township of Champlain $25,000 over one year to purchase and install new BMX/skateboarding structures at the municipal park in L'Orignal. This will provide safe and healthy recreation for children and youth aged 7 to 19 years from the village and surrounding area.
Cumberland Curling Club $25,000 over one year to install a heating system, energy-efficient lighting and replace ice-making equipment, which will improve ice quality and the overall curling experience for local community members.
Cumberland Township Agricultural Society $65,000 over one year to enhance the organization's ability to host events such as the Navan Fair by installing a new hydro grid, which will increase the availability of electricity and access throughout the fair grounds.
Deep River Community Centre c/o Deep River Community Association $25,000 over six months to build a new barrier-free washroom and upgrade the local community centre, a faculty that is shared by the community at large and four groups who provide leisure, recreational and arts activities.
East Nepean Baseball Association $14,900 over one year to purchase baseball equipment, which will support the addition of eight teams to their house-league program. This will help increase registration and engage more youth aged 4 to 18 years in the sport.
Eastern Ontario Rural Healthy Home Project c/o South Nation River Conservation Authority $144,000 over two years to implement the Rural Healthy Home Project, which will assist homeowners in Eastern Ontario in reducing and eliminating environmental and health risks around their homes and promote good environmental stewardship.
Eastern Zone Children's Aid Society c/o Children's Aid Society of Ottawa $50,000 over two years to develop and implement a comprehensive social-marketing campaign throughout Eastern Ontario. It will highlight the importance of reaching out to children and encourage families to commit to foster caring and adoption. (Additional grants of $50,000 to Durham, Haliburton, Kawartha and Pine Ridge area and $50,000 to Quinte, Kingston and Rideau area will support this activity.)
Ecology Ottawa $18,000 over one year to engage the citizens of Ottawa in addressing environmental issues by hiring a co-ordinator, developing their website, printing and distributing promotional materials and expanding the organization's outreach.
Glengarry Pipe Band $15,000 toward the cost of replacing outdated instruments for this Maxville-based piping band. Funding will help it provide high-calibre musicianship, competition and performances as well as foster appreciation of Scottish culture and heritage.
Gloucester and Area Adult Ringette Association c/o Ontario Ringette Association $3,000 to purchase two portable shot clocks for practices and tournaments where built-in shot clocks are not available. These will help enhance the quality of the sport of ringette for women of all ages in Gloucester and the surrounding area.
Gloucester Cumberland Girls Hockey Association $36,700 over two years to build the capacity of the organization by developing a coach mentoring program, designing a player development program and hiring part-time staff to co-ordinate volunteers and manage operations and events.
Groupe ADEP - Anti-Délinquance en Poésie $15,000 over one year for equipment, instruments and accessories. The organization's capacity to present poetry workshops to Francophone high-school students in Ottawa will be enhanced, helping them express their needs without delinquent behaviour.
Habitat for Humanity - National Capital Region $86,000 over two years for a program and services co-ordinator to oversee the Women's Build and Youth Build programs in Ottawa. The programs expose women and youth to the art of homebuilding, tradespeople and future volunteer and work opportunities.
Highland Mist Pipe Band $15,000 over one year to purchase training instruments, drum kits and replacement parts as well as kilts and accessories for new members. This will lead to the increased engagement of youth in the band and improved performances in the Ottawa area.
Integrated Services for Vulnerable Families with Young Children c/o Carlington Community and Health Services $93,600 over 30 months to enhance child development support services for vulnerable families in the Overbrook and Carlington area. This is part of a major pilot project to enable better access to support and services critical for child development.
Isle in the River Theatrical Review $15,000 to purchase new theatrical equipment. This will enable this amateur community-theatre group to continue providing affordable quality performances for residents of rural areas such as Osgoode, Rideau and the surrounding towns and villages.
KidSport Renfrew County c/o Sport Alliance of Ontario $30,000 over one year to increase the organization's visibility in smaller communities throughout the county and develop new fundraising strategies. The project will enable greater participation in sports by children from low-income families.
Lifetime Networks Ottawa $10,000 over one year to provide training to volunteers and family members who provide a lifetime support-network to individuals who are disabled. This initiative will assist the organization in more effectively reaching out to the community.
Lions Club of Russell $14,000 to purchase furniture, equipment and a public-address system for the club's new meeting facility. Funding will improve the building's comfort and appeal for regular participants, community groups, events and social gatherings.
LiveWorkPlay $88,800 over three years to continue to develop and promote the On Our Own Together Housing Strategy, which will expand the availability of affordable and supported housing for people with intellectual disabilities in the Ottawa community.

The results of the study will help the organization better meet anticipated community demands for arts programs.
Orléans Community Festival Kit Partnership c/o Team Ottawa-Orléans $30,000 over one year to purchase a tent, picnic tables and barbeque, which will provide Ottawa-East organizations with equipment necessary for hosting assorted events in the community.
Ottawa Art Gallery $95,000 over two years to increase participation by urban Aboriginal youth in the visual arts and to assist in the expansion of the gallery's art rental service.
Ottawa Volunteer Brain Trust c/o Canadian Red Cross, Ontario Zone $40,000 over nine months to develop a region-wide strategy that will allow for effective mobilization of existing volunteer resources and the integration of new volunteers in case of natural disaster, community emergency or pandemic.
Ottawa Youth Orchestra Academy $14,900 over one year to purchase percussion and reed instruments that will complete the instrumentation in both these sections. This will help the academy continue to provide local youth with quality training and performance opportunities.
Pinecrest Little League $20,000 over ten months to enhance the organization's capacity to deliver high-quality, safe baseball programs to children and youth in Ottawa by purchasing player and field equipment.

Township of McNab/Braeside $30,000 over one year to upgrade a section of recreational trail that extends from Arnprior to the Township of McNab-Braeside. The trail is used for year-round activities such as walking, biking, horseback riding and snowmobiling.
Waupoos Foundation $40,600 over six months to renovate and upgrade five cottages that are used year-round for unique vacation opportunities for low-income families and for social gatherings or retreats by various community groups in Ottawa.
West Carleton Non Profit Housing Corporation $3,900 over six months to install automatic door openers, making the organization's common room more accessible for seniors with limited mobility and individuals with disabilities in Carp.
