Bonnechere River Watershed Project
$135,800 over two years to engage residents in the environmental stewardship of the Bonnechere River watershed through public engagement and volunteer-training workshops, data collection, stream monitoring and the development of on-line tools.

Bonnechere Valley Youth Activity Centre
$45,300 over one year for operating costs and the purchase of office and computer equipment. The capacity of this new organization will then increase to provide more after-school and weekend programs for youth aged 11 to 17 years in this rural area.

$7,500 over one year to purchase an enclosed trailer to transport and permanently store equipment. This will increase the safety of volunteers during events and reduce storage costs, helping to maintain affordable participant fees.

$30,000 over 18 months to hire a professional conservator who will spend four weeks at each of the network's 11 member-museums in order to conduct conservation assessments and aid in artifact conservation.

$12,500 over two years to prepare orienteering maps of sites in the Ottawa area to enhance the orienteering experience and to increase the club's capacity to host events.

Ottawa River Canoe Club

$40,000 over six months to develop tools and resources for not-for-profit organizations to recruit and train volunteers. This will help to match agencies and organizations that need volunteers to those who are willing to donate their time and services.

$57,900 over two years to hire a part-time volunteer and community education co-ordinator who will recruit and train volunteers to support the Chrysalis House and Violence Against Women program.

Bottleworks c/o Operation Go Home
$130,000 over two years for a co-ordinator, equipment and communications to launch a new social enterprise called Bottleworks. The project will create employment opportunities for street youth in the Rideau and Market area.

Breast Cancer Action
$44,000 over two years to hire a part-time volunteer co-ordinator. This will further develop this group's capacity to recruit and train members who want to be involved in peer support, education and awareness and fitness programs in Ottawa.

Bronson Centre
$115,000 over six months for a vertical platform lift in the centre's northeast wing. Meeting rooms, a theatre and office space will be more accessible to all members of the community visiting the not-for-profit organizations housed there.

Camp Fortune Ski Club
$20,200 over one year for coaches training, certification and licensing. Specialized tools and dryland equipment will also be purchased to enable this alpine ski club to offer better ski-training experiences to youth in Eastern Ontario.

Canton de Hawkesbury Est
$27,900 over six months to install traffic barriers and to make a variety of improvements the municipal baseball field in the village of St.-Eugène.

Capital Xelles Basketball Club
$10,900 over one year to purchase shot clocks and skill-building equipment. These will help the organization implement the new FIBA rules and enhance the skills development program for players aged 9 to 17 years in Orleans and area.

Church of St. John the Evangelist - Ottawa
$37,200 over one year for a co-ordinator and volunteer support activities for the Circles of Support and Accountability program. This initiative supports, yet holds accountable, released sex offenders who are integrating into the community.

$40,000 over one year to install an automatic door, which will complete the accessibility renovations of this important meeting space so that more people of all abilities can take part in community events.

Comité d'action local Rideau-Vanier a/s Centre des services communautaires Vanier
$100,000 over two years for a co-ordinator, website development and equipment. The staff and purchases will help build partnerships that will enhance physical activity programming and promote healthy, active living for children aged 4 to 12 years.

$30,400 over one year for a co-ordinator and promotional costs to develop and implement a restorative justice program. Restorative conflict resolution will be offered to the public through community circles and educational programs for students.

Cornwall and District Immigrant Services Agency
$62,800 over one year for staff and administration costs to provide artistic and creative opportunities to immigrant children and youth. Culturally sensitive literacy and learning will also be offered to help reduce isolation among immigrant women.

Cornwall Carbon Reduction Initiative
$72,400 over two years for a co-ordinator and costs to implement a fundraising plan and build partnerships. Presentations and displays will be offered to promote greater awareness of carbon reduction opportunities and encourage public participation.

$14,400 over one year to purchase sound, lighting and circus/acrobatic equipment, which will increase the capacity of this new multidisciplinary Francophone theatrical organization to offer programs for children in eastern Ontario and across Ontario.

Dundas County Food Bank
$25,000 over six months to renovate the Winchester food bank's building and pave the driveway. This will increase the safety and accessibility of the facility for the staff, volunteers and more than 300 families who rely on its services.

EAGLE Training Centre
$45,000 over one year for staff and tools to provide job readiness, life skills and employment coaching to visible-minority youth aged 16 to 24 years in Orleans and Ottawa East. The program will enhance self-confidence, pride and leadership skills.

Eritrean Community Association Ottawa
$20,000 over one year to increase opportunities for children, youth and adults to be more physically active. A part-time co-ordinator will be hired to organize sporting activities and arrange transportation to reduce barriers to participation.

$60,000 over one year for additional facilitators to deliver a preventive program that educates Francophone children, teachers, daycare staff and parents to recognize and deal effectively with abusive situations.

$50,700 over one year to increase community awareness, improve service delivery and enhance accessibility to programs and services by rebranding the organization, introducing a database and enhancing the website.

$10,600 over six months to purchase junior curling stones and equipment in order to encourage more youth to become active and participate in curling in the community of Manotick.

Monument de la francophonie de Cornwall a/s Club Richelieu de Cornwall
$25,300 over one year for a co-ordinator, materials and fees to produce and distribute a document that celebrates Francophone history. This project will promote awareness and encourage cultural pride in this community in Cornwall.

Mount Martin Ski Club
$65,000 over one year to purchase a tracked ski hill maintenance vehicle. The equipment will help ensure a better quality and safer terrain for skiers of all ages in Deep River.

Nepean Girls Hockey Association
$30,500 over one year for a player-development program and regulation goalie equipment. These additions will help players improve their skills and experience goaltending, providing a better hockey experience for girls aged 17 years and under.

Nepean-Ottawa Diving Club
$9,800 over six months for a new trampoline, mats, sound system and storage unit that will allow the club to provide a more comprehensive training program for divers of all ages.

Orleans Nordic Ski Club
$16,000 over one year to purchase a more efficient snowmobile, which will increase the club's capacity to groom trails at local ski areas and encourage greater participation in this healthy form of outdoor recreation.

Ottawa Chamber Music Society
$90,000 over two years for staff, overhead and office equipment. These additions will enhance organizational capacity, enable long-term planning and improve communications and the development of outreach programs to increase audiences.

Ottawa Children's Choir
$19,900 over two years to commission works by Canadian composers, hold workshops for music teachers and host a festival for school choirs. A CD of choral versions of O Canada will also be produced for use in area schools.

Ottawa Chinese-Canadian Heritage Centre
$50,400 over one year for a co-ordinator, administration costs and a computer. These will help to provide opportunities for social, recreational and educational activities to help reduce isolation among Chinese-Canadian seniors.

Ottawa Community Concert Band
$13,800 over one year to purchase additional musical instruments, music resources and equipment to increase the band's ability to offer quality concerts for seniors as well as the community at large.

Ottawa District Badminton Association
$18,700 over two years for a program supervisor and equipment to expand programs for children, youth, adults and seniors. A Sunday program will offer skills-improvement clinics and certification for coaches and officials.

Ottawa Guardsman Basketball Club
$31,700 over two years to purchase shooting machines, shot clocks, and score clocks. Skills development opportunities will expand for coaches, volunteers and players, helping to provide recreation opportunities to more area youth aged 10 to 19 years.

Ottawa Symphony Orchestra
$36,000 over three years for musicians' fees. The orchestra will expand free educational classical music concerts for children in Grades 5 and 6, with a special focus on beacon schools in low-income neighbourhoods.

Partenariat pour prévenir l'itinérance à Ottawa a/s Action-Logement
$32,000 over one year for part-time staff to provide service co-ordination and annual training planning. This will help this 16-agency group provide housing support services to Francophone residents in Ottawa.

Pembroke & Area Cross Country Ski Club
$42,200 over one year to purchase a cross-country ski trail groomer. The equipment will provide users with easier access to better trails and help encourage participation in this sport in the community of Pembroke.

Polaris Institute
$132,500 over two years for staff, equipment and materials to raise awareness and foster a strategy to address the bottled-water trend. Workshops and community forums will engage high-school youth to support public water systems in Eastern Ontario.

Polish Combatants' Association in Canada, Ottawa Branch 8
$50,000 over one year for renovations including installation of an accessible washroom, an indoor chair lift and exterior ramp. The upgrades will make the building accessible to seniors of all abilities who attend recreation and social programs.

Pregnancy Support Services of Upper Ottawa Valley
$8,600 over one year to purchase office and computer equipment. These will increase administrative effectiveness and equip organization to better serve pregnant teens in need of support services in the Upper Ottawa Valley.

Richmond Munster Minor Hockey Association
$13,500 over one year to purchase goalie equipment, safety supplies and computer equipment to improve delivery of programs and overall management of the association in the community of Richmond.

Russell Association for the Performing Arts
$40,000 over eight months to purchase and install stage equipment that will enhance the quality of performances for this local performing arts association.

Somerset West Community Health Centre
$75,000 over six months to construct an exterior ramp to the main entrance of the Rochester Heights Community House. This will enable community members of all abilities to fully participate in health programs and social activities offered on-site.

Ten Oaks Project
$53,000 over two years to hire a part-time executive director. This addition will help the organization increase volunteer engagement and management, and expand programs that respond to the needs of children and youth in LGBTQ communities.

Township of Bonnechere Valley
$32,200 over six months to install automatic doors and an interior chair lift and pave the exterior ramp. These upgrades will make the Eganville Community Centre accessible to people of all abilities who attend its recreation and social programs.

Union des Haïtiens de l'Outaouais
$20,700 over one year for tutors, transportation and equipment to provide educational support and sports programs to Haitian-Canadian youth in East Ottawa. Activities will help students having difficulty with school work and at risk of dropping out.

United Way of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry
$14,200 over one year to install an energy efficient furnace, remove the asbestos covered boiler, and make repairs to the building's roof. These upgrades will make the facility healthier and safe for volunteers, staff and community members.

Upasana the Spirit of Dance
$30,000 over one year for staff, marketing and office supplies to develop culturally diverse community dance events in Ottawa. These will celebrate Indo-Canadian culture and increase knowledge of classical Indian dance.

Village de Casselman
$20,800 over six months for kiosks, artists' fees and equipment rentals for the first Christmas Festival, which will form part of Casselman's downtown economic revitalization plan.

World Inter-Action Mondiale
$39,000 over one year to provide hands-on workshops exploring video production, animation, acting and audio production. These will expose Aboriginal and culturally diverse youth who are living in low-income neighbourhoods in Ottawa to global issues.

$14,900 over one year to purchase MP3 voice recorders and costumes. These additions will help increase this women chorus's repertoire and broaden its audience base in the Ottawa region.

Celebration of People c/o Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa
$59,500 over 18 months for staff to help raise public awareness of the achievements of people with disabilities who received a Celebration of People Award. Public perception will be changed and greater accessibility in community life promoted.

$50,000 over one year to implement the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters program (HIPPY) in Eastern Ottawa. Home educators will teach parents how to develop school readiness skills and support academic achievement.

$43,800 to install an energy-efficient HVAC heating and air conditioning system in this well-used community facility. Automatic door openers will also be installed to improve access to the building for all the community members who use it.

$13,200 over one year to renovate the club's facility. New flooring, kitchen cabinets and counters will be installed and furniture purchased to help improve overall safety and ease of use by seniors within the Francophone community.

$62,500 over one year for staff, website development and translation services. A city farm will be created that offers education programs for children and workshops for youth and adults on food production.

$40,500 over one year to replace gymnastics equipment. The new additions will enable the club to meet current safety standards in its extensive recreational, competitive and special-needs programs for children and youth aged 1 to 17 years.

Nepean Minor Hockey Association
$19,000 over one year to provide coaches with better training tools, clinics and media. Goaltender equipment will be replaced and a computer upgraded to help the association continue providing hockey as recreation for over 2,800 children.

Odawa Native Friendship Centre
$14,000 over six months to upgrade the entrance and structure of the local centre. A safer environment will then be available for the Capital Region's Aboriginal community to participate in a variety of cultural, recreational and social programs.

Oneness-World Communications
$85,000 over three years for staff, workshop fees and computer equipment to maintain and grow the Step Into Stories children's literacy program in Ottawa. The organization's youth outreach and on-line content will also be enhanced.

Quigley Highlanders Pipes and Drums
$42,600 over one year to purchase band equipment and uniforms. These additions will increase the organization's capacity to recruit new members in the North Glengarry area, particularly children, youth and seniors.

$4,300 over one year to improve safety and training effectiveness for figure skaters. An on-ice jump harness will be purchased and installed in the Cornwall Civic Complex, to help retain members and enhance their skills.

Société franco-ontarienne d'histoire et de généalogie, Régionale St-Laurent
$45,700 over one year to develop an electronic catalogue of the Cornwall organization's inventory and collections. Clients will then have easier access to information and volunteers will be trained to regularly update the electronic collection.

Soma Selepak Culture Association of Ottawa
$15,000 over one year for electrical work, drywall, flooring and paint. Upgrades will improve the safety and use of the rehearsal and performance space for this group that provides cultural and sports programming to the Cambodian community.

St. Lawrence Rowing Club
$33,000 over one year to increase access to rowing programs for the Morrisburg community by improving docking facilities and purchasing rowing equipment.

SuzukiMusic
$14,000 over six months to purchase instruments for a viola program for this important school in Ottawa. The program provides music instruction to 320 children aged 3 to 18 years, including students with special needs.

Valley Employee and Family Assistance Program
$25,000 over six months to purchase office equipment and furniture. The additions will help the group function more efficiently and increase its capacity to deliver educational workshops in the Renfrew County community.

Valley Heritage Radio
$35,000 over one year for electrical work, air conditioning and computer upgrades. These improvements will enhance the safety and health of the facility used by this community-based radio station serving Renfrew County.

Victim Assistance Services of Ottawa-Carleton
$113,600 over two years for a co-ordinator and expenses to maintain and expand the Court Accompaniment Service. Trained volunteers will be able to provide more assistance and emotional support during the court process for women victims of violence.

Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health
$140,600 over two years to provide culturally based arts and physical activities that promote healthy lifestyles among Aboriginal children aged 7 to 12 years living in Ottawa.

Wetland Education and Workshops c/o Ducks Unlimited Canada
$77,200 over two years to provide quality in-class wetland resources and field trips to 55 Grade 4 classes each year in Ottawa through Project Webfoot. Teachers will also have opportunities to participate in wetland workshops.

Whitewater Historical Society
$7,300 over one year to print and install information signs in five Whitewater Region towns and at the Ross Museum in Foresters Falls. The signs will help increase the museum's visibility and profile, draw more visitors and attract new members.
