Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association of Peterborough Inc.$60,600 over three years to implement 20 Go Girls - Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds programs, which help promote physical activity, balanced eating and a positive self-image for girls aged 12 to14 years using a group-mentoring model.
Big Brothers and Sisters of Clarington$15,000 over one year to make the organization building's back entrance accessible to people of all abilities and install new thermal windows, increasing accessibility, comfort and energy efficiency.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton$65,000 over three years for a fundraising co-ordinator who will increase the organization's capacity for fund development. The organization will then be able to provide more programs and services for children and youth in the community.
Campbellford Lawn Bowling Club c/o Ontario Lawn Bowls Association$4,700 over one year to install a ductless air conditioner in the club's facility. This is one of several capital upgrades the club is undertaking in preparation for hosting the provincial championships.
Community Living Ajax-Pickering and Whitby$72,900 over one year to install new heating and cooling systems in two buildings, which will improve conditions for recreational, employment and programming for people with disabilities, volunteers and employees.
Corporation of the Municipality of Port Hope$15,000 over one year for walkways, walls and landscaping to transform the unique cenotaph and parkette into a year-round recreational environment that is inviting to tourists and residents while memorializing those who served their country.
Down Syndrome Association of Peterborough$25,000 over six months to develop a feasibility study for a capital campaign to secure a permanent facility for subsidized, supportive housing and office and programming space.
Durham Family Court Clinic$9,300 over one year to redesign the agency's website to encourage increased community and client participation and improve access to programs and information.
Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre$36,000 over six months to install automatic doors and pave the parking lot. Upgrades will improve the centre's appearance and safety, make the facility more accessible to people of all abilities and prevent further deterioration.
Enhancing Social Planning Capacity in Durham c/o Community Development Council Durham$111,500 over two years to enhance the social planning and community development capacity of the voluntary sector in Durham's rural and underserved communities.

Harcourt Park Inc.$11,000 over one year to assist with publishing the history of the Harcourt Park community in recognition of 50 years of volunteerism and community service.
Heritage Pavilion Stage Performances$25,000 over two years to increase the capacity and sustainability of this drama group, which will enable it to increase the number of school and public performances of historically and culturally relevant plays in Peterborough city and county.
Kawartha Youth Orchestra$18,800 over one year to increase organizational capacity through volunteer recruitment and resource development, which will increase audience numbers and participation in a youth-based symphony orchestra in Peterborough.
Kinmount Agricultural Society$150,000 over one year to renovate the kitchen and washroom facilities at the Kinmount Fairground Arena. The renovations will address safety and health standards, and improve access and appearance, which will encourage increased community use.
Newcastle Memorial Arena Music Room Project c/o Newcastle Skating Club$45,500 over one year to build an addition to the arena for a music room and storage facility, which will improve the quality of skating and enhance volunteerism.
Omemee Curling and Recreation Club Inc.$75,700 over one year to replace the ice pad chiller system. The new system will increase energy efficiency, produce more reliable ice and ensure continued community use of this well-used recreation facility.
Participation House Project (Durham Region)$146,100 over three years for a manager of fund development and volunteers, who will increase outreach and volunteer involvement to sustain quality residential, respite and day programs for people with disabilities in Oshawa and Bowmanville.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 184 - Woodville$14,000 over one year to make a community facility more energy efficient by upgrading windows and doors. These improvements will help the organization maintain rental rates, increase accessibility and enhance community programming.
Sadleir House and OPIRG Accessibility collaborative c/o P. R. Community and Student Association$41,700 over one year to improve the accessibility to Sadleir House for people of all abilities by installing a chair lift, automatic door openers and a ramp at one of the main entrances of this historic building in Peterborough.
Scugog Council for the Arts$47,300 over three years to hire a manager of operations who will enable the organization to improve governance and operations, and increase community partnerships, membership, volunteerism, and community programming.
The Seniors Citizen's Club of Fenelon Falls$59,000 over one year to equip the new clubhouse and help to re-establish regular programming for seniors in Fenelon Falls. Funding will be used to purchase kitchen cabinets, appliances and utensils, furniture, flooring and a ventilation system.
Together Education and Mothering c/o Alpha House of Northumberland for Young Mothers$77,500 over three years for a program co-ordinator for the Team Program, which enables pregnant and parenting young mothers aged 13 to 21 years to continue their education and improve their parenting skills.
Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan$14,500 over one year to increase the library's collection and programming for 2,000 members including children, youth, seniors and people with disabilities and to introduce computer-based tutorial software to enhance early literacy for children.
Villiers Community Centre Committee c/o Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan$75,000 over one year to build an accessible entrance, widen the hallway and renovate the washrooms at the Villiers Community Centre, creating a fully accessible facility for people of all abilities in the community.
Woodville & District Lions Club$65,000 over one year to help create a park adjacent to the Woodville Town Hall. It will include a play structure, skateboard pad and gazebo, which will enhance opportunities for physical and recreational activity for all members of the community.
WrapAround Northumberland c/o Children's Aid Society of Northumberland$105,300 over three years for a volunteer co-ordinator and the development of a volunteer-facilitator program that trains, coaches and supports community volunteers as Wraparound facilitators for families.
YWCA of Peterborough Victoria & Haliburton$24,900 over one year to support not-for-profit organizations in rural communities engage in training, coaching and collaboration, thereby strengthening the responsiveness and effectiveness of the volunteer sector.

Blueboxing@Trent c/o Community Living Peterborough$67,400 over two years to establish an innovative recycling program at Trent University. People with intellectual disabilities and students will volunteer in a program to increase waste diversion from the landfill site.
Canadian Ski Patrol Kawartha Zone c/o Canadian Ski Patrol System$62,600 over one year for marketing and conference costs and new equipment. Volunteer recruitment, recognition and skill levels will improve, enabling the group to better promote safe skiing and assist those who are injured.
Cannington Business Association$12,800 over one year to purchase tents, heaters and signage for the Cannington Dog Sled Races. The fifth anniversary celebration of this popular winter event will be enhanced, attracting visitors and creating economic opportunity for the community.
Community Care Northumberland$15,000 over one year to purchase upgraded computer data storage equipment. This will give six satellite offices in the county access to data, resulting in improved efficiency and better support services to people with dependencies in the community.
Community Foundation of Durham Region$46,100 over two years for staff, communications and advertising to increase awareness of this endowment organization and help it to develop relationships with key stakeholders in Durham Region.
Creating Community Recreation Partnerships for Children with Disabilities c/o Five Counties Children's Centre$81,900 over two years to implement and evaluate four integrated recreation programs for children and youth with disabilities. Partnerships will be formed with community recreation providers in Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland.
Curve Lake First Nation$133,300 over three years to hire an archivist and an outreach co-ordinator for the Curve Lake Cultural Centre. The centre will be better able to preserve cultural material, encourage tourism and engage youth to learn about Anishnabek culture.
Durham Deaf Services Inc.$232,000 over five years for staff, materials and computer equipment to develop and sustain fundraising and volunteer management. This will improve programming for people with hearing disabilities in Durham Region.
Durham Sustain Ability$193,800 over three years to increase staff resources to expand and sustain environmental education programs and support environmental leadership for residents of Durham Region.
Environmental Earth Angels$47,800 over one year to develop a mentorship program for post-secondary student volunteers in Durham region. They will teach students in participating schools about biodiversity by conducting field trips to various bioregions.
Gamebridge Women's Institute$7,600 over one year for new windows and doors and to install a ramp. Upgrades will improve energy efficiency and make this well-used facility more accessible to people of all abilities who participate in the programs and recreation offered there.
Habitat for Humanity Durham Inc.$225,000 over three years for an executive director and volunteer co-ordinator. These staff will increase the organization's capacity to recruit and support donors and volunteers, launch a Re-Store, and build affordable homes in Durham Region.
Empowering Youth 4 Global Change c/o Jamaican Self-Help$122,600 over three years to hire a co-ordinator and establish youth committees in Peterborough and Cobourg. Youth will have leadership roles and help test a new model of youth engagement.
Kawartha Food Share$99,000 over two years to hire a co-ordinator and purchase a van. These improvements will help increase donations and improve food distribution, helping to more effectively address hunger among residents in the community.
Kawartha Lakes Risk Watch$37,400 over one year for resource and marketing materials and display equipment. These will support the organization's efforts to educate children, youth and parents about safety and injury prevention.
Luke's Place Shelters Initiative c/o Luke's Place Support and Resource Centre for Women and Children$225,000 over three years for a project co-ordinator, volunteer co-ordinator, outreach materials and administration. These will help establish a pro bono legal clinic, which will enhance services to women involved in the family court process.
Northern Portugal Cultural Centre$150,000 over one year to replace the roof and make the front entrance of the centre and the washrooms fully accessible to people of all abilities, so all can enjoy its cultural and recreation programs in Oshawa.
Northumberland Food for Thought c/o Northumberland United Way$50,800 over two years to expand the student nutrition programs in Northumberland County. A volunteer co-ordinator will recruit and train volunteers so more programs can be provided and the sustainability of the program can improve.
Northumberland Land Trust$23,000 over one year to extend the part-time executive director position from two to four days a week. This will support better resource and policy development, environmental education for youth and improved stewardship of the land.
Roseneath Agricultural Society c/o Corporation of the Township of Alnick/Haldimand$15,000 over one year to purchase and install accessible outdoor playground equipment for youth of all abilities in the community of Roseneath. This will improve safety and provide healthy recreation and a focal point for family activities.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 103 - Campbellford$12,300 over one year to install hot water piping, a dishwasher and an energy controller. The upgrades will increase energy efficiency and help to cut costs in this important community facility.
The Sharing Place Collaborative c/o United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes$55,500 over one year for office renovations that will enable two community organizations to collaborate, sharing space and resources in ways that enhance their social services in the community.
Trent Centre for Community Based Education$97,900 over two years to increase the capacity, inclusiveness and quality of community-based learning and planning for community groups and residents in Peterborough City and County.
Trinity United Church - Omemee$21,000 over one year for the purchase and installation of a community street clock and digital carillon chimes, which will contribute to the community's efforts to beautify and revitalize the streetscape of Omemee.
Uxbridge-Scott Historical Society$65,700 over one year to upgrade walkways, repair porches and install ramps and a lift at the centre. These improvements will increase accessibility and safety for volunteers and visitors and enable greater community use of the facilities.
Warsaw Women's Institute c/o Federated Women's Institute$2,700 over one year to purchase kitchen equipment that will accommodate increased usage of the facility and better serve the residents of Warsaw and the surrounding rural area.

Apsley and District Lions Club$82,100 over one year to construct a playground for the children of Apsley and surrounding area. The play structures will incorporate features for children with mobility issues.
The Art School of Peterborough$15,000 over one year to purchase portable air filtration systems that will help improve health and safety for students. Tools and equipment will also be purchased to allow the school to expand into new art media.
Beyond the Blue Box in Northumberland County$125,000 over one year to convert a storage building into an accessible retail sales area, providing increased revenue for the organization and training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Brighton Masonic Temple Association$20,000 over one year to upgrade the community hall's electrical system, heating and air conditioning. The improvements will make it more comfortable and energy efficient, which will help increase its use by the community.
Campbellford & District Curling & Racquet Club Inc.$15,000 over one year to purchase weight room and fitness equipment which will make the fitness facility available to more people in the Campbellford area.
Cannington Curling Club Inc.$104,200 over one year to install a new ice refrigeration plant in the curling facility. This will help improve playing conditions and ensure that the sport of curling continues to be available to members of the community.
Community Living Haliburton County$33,000 over two years for a coordinator and promotion and transportation costs to support the development of a self-advocacy program. The program will help people with intellectual disabilities to participate more fully in the community.
Corporation of the Township of Uxbridge$87,600 over one year for renovations, furniture and equipment purchases for the Uxbridge Library. These improvements will make the facility more accessible, enabling it to be used more readily by people with disabilities and seniors.
Courtice Lions Millennium Trail Project c/o Lions Club of Courtice$81,300 over one year to create a new entrance to the Millennium Trail and install a pedestrian bridge. These upgrades will provide better access to the trails and help promote physical activity for Courtice residents and visitors.
Durham Youth Housing & Support Services$175,000 over three years for an executive director, office equipment and training costs. A new youth shelter will then be able to continue operating and a resource development plan will be developed for its ongoing sustainability.
Durham Youth Road Safety Coalition c/o Head Injury Association of Durham$13,300 over six months to develop and implement marketing materials to deter street racing among youth in Durham Region and across the province.
Harmony United Church$14,300 over one year to upgrade the electrical system and install fire suppression systems in the church hall. These improvements will enable it to meet fire code standards and continue as a popular meeting place for the Oshawa community.
The Help Centre of Northumberland$75,700 over three years to hire a volunteer co-ordinator to work with the board of directors. Volunteers will be engaged, fundraising expanded and the community profile of this organization that helps the unemployed and disadvantaged enhanced.
John Howard Society of Kawartha Lakes & Haliburton$46,000 over one year to hire a project co-ordinator. This new position will enable the society to conduct an organizational review and strategic planning process, which will increase its capacity to provide services to the community.
John Howard Society of Peterborough$62,100 over one year to install solar panels and a display in the society's building. These additions will demonstrate solar-panel electricity production and encourage greening and energy conservation in the not-for-profit sector in Peterborough.
Kawartha LakesHaliburton Domestic Violence Coordinating Committee
c/o Victoria County Women's Resource Services$73,700 over two years for a co-ordinator and strategic planning consulting services. These will enhance the organization's capacity to provide services and address issues related to domestic violence.
Kawartha Trans Canada Trail c/o Kawartha Lakes Green Trails Alliance$75,000 over one year to upgrade the tread surface of Trans Canada Trail in the City of Kawartha Lakes, which will improve its use and create opportunities for recreational activities for residents and visitors.
Little Britain Field Project c/o Oakwood Lions Club$30,000 over one year to build a track around a new soccer field, which will help increase physical activity and safety for the community of Little Britain.
Oshawa Community Health Centre$100,900 over one year to buy furniture and equipment for the new multipurpose centre. The equipment will support increased health and social welfare programming and enable greater use of the facilities by community organizations.
Peterborough Children's Chorus$42,000 over two years for music, instruments and equipment. Workshops and gala performances will be held, which will increase the organization's capacity to perform and support its 10th anniversary celebrations.
Peterborough Rugby Union Football Club$44,200 over one year to install an irrigation system and a 100-seat bleacher in a rugby field at Nicholl's Oval. These upgrades will help to improve the safety and quality of sport for rugby players and supporters.
Peterborough Symphony Orchestra$29,800 over 18 months to increase the capacity of the orchestra to raise funds. A specialist will be hired to develop a fundraising plan and train the board of directors to implement it.
Precious Minds Support Services$15,000 over one year to renovate this centre, which serves families of children with learning barriers and service providers in northern Durham Region. Additional office space and expanded kitchen facilities will make the centre more efficient.
Schoolhouse Historical Society c/o Municipality of Highlands East$15,000 over one year to assist with restoration of the Kidd Schoolhouse, which will be operated as a community museum providing historical programs and genealogical information.
Scugog Cultural Centre c/o Lake Scugog Historical Society$104,000 over one year to help renovate space at the centre and purchase equipment. The museum will then relocate its exhibits and archives to the new facility, which will enhance its programming and ensure the preservation of artifacts.
Scugog Soccer Association$36,000 over one year for grass-cutting equipment, which will enable the organization to properly maintain its soccer fields, enhancing play and safety for players.
Soul Carnival c/o INNRESPONSE$15,000 over one year to purchase filmmaking equipment for an arts mentorship program for youth in the Municipality of Trent Hills. The equipment will be available for community use after the program.
South Central Ontario Big Game Association$8,100 over one year to drill a well and install a pump to create a fish hatchery. The facility will provide programs and education to the people of Durham Region about the value of rehabilitating local streams with native species of fish.
Township of Douro-Dummer$19,700 over six months to install 10 permanent horseshoe pits in Douro Park, which will increase recreation opportunities for community members and visitors.
Trent Hills Skate Park Committee c/o Municipality of Trent Hills$40,000 over one year toward the construction of an accessible skate park in Kennedy Park in Trent Hills. This will provide opportunities for area children and youth to skateboard, bike and roller blade.
Uxbridge Senior Citizens Club c/o United Senior Citizens of Ontario$58,000 over one year to install a steel roof and replace eavestroughs and downspouts at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre. These upgrades will extend the life of the building and enable community programming for seniors to continue.
Uxbridge Youth Centre c/o Optimist Club of Uxbridge$80,000 over two years to hire staff for a new youth centre which will provide academic, arts and recreation programming, resulting in improved academic and personal success for youth from Uxbridge and surrounding areas.
