Connecting with Ontarians  

As fans gathered for the Yates Cup final at Western University, the Hon. Deb Matthews, MPP and Ann Lapchinski, OTF, congratulated Ontario University Athletics on the work it's doing with a two-year, $265,900 province-wide grant. The organization is using the funds to develop Growing the Gridiron, designed to help young people between seven and 14 learn football in a safe and fun environment. Funds will also help align university athletic programs with the Long Term Athlete Development models of eight provincial sport organizations, enhancing opportunities for student athletes to attend post-secondary athletics programs in Ontario.


Youth Opportunities Fund

OTF launched a new $5 million program November 28 to help community organizations improve outcomes for youth facing multiple barriers to economic and social and  well-being in the Greater Toronto Area.
