If your project has a broad geographical reach and impact, then you may want to apply to the new deadline for projects with provincial impact.

The deadline for projects with provincial impact is September 27, 2017, and organization registration is September 6, 2017.

What is a project with provincial impact?

Projects with provincial impact are those that reach a minimum of three catchments, or two if one catchment is in the North (that includes the Northwestern – Algoma, Cochrane, Manitoulin, Sudbury – Muskoka, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Timiskaming catchments).

The criteria for this program is the same as for the Grow Investment Stream, save and except for the scope, reach and impact of the project.

What does that mean?

The amount, terms, types of costs funded and guidelines for projects with provincial impact are outlined in the Guide for the Grow Investment Stream.

The major difference is that projects with a broader geographical reach and impact should apply for funding in September 27, 2017 by 5 PM ET.

This is an additional deadline for projects with provincial impact. The June 28, 2017 Grow application deadline remains the same.

Don’t forget to register your organization by September 6, 2017. If you’re not sure if you’re already registered, contact our Support Centre at 1-800-263-2887 | otf@otf.ca.

When thinking about how this may affect your application consider the following:

Which deadline puts the application for your project in the best position for success?

  • If your project is local and impacts one catchment, apply for a Grow grant by June 28, 2017 at 5 PM ET.
  • If your project is provincial (impacts communities in at least three OTF catchments, two if in North Ontario), apply for a project with provincial impact grant by September 27, 2017 at 5 PM ET.

Does the project have provincial impact because its scope, reach and impact meet the requirement for the September 27, 2017 deadline? (NAMELY: Does your project reach a minimum of three catchments, or two if one catchment is in the North (that includes the Northwestern – Algoma, Cochrane, Manitoulin, Sudbury – Muskoka, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Timiskaming catchments).
