With more than 30 years of granting expertise, the Ontario Trillium Foundation is recognized as the grantmaker of choice in Ontario. In addition to its Investment Strategy, OTF is honoured to administer three granting programs on behalf of the Government of Ontario:
The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is an annual program that provides grants and capacity building supports to youth-led grassroots groups and community-based organizations serving young people who face multiple barriers to economic and social wellbeing.
The Local Poverty Reduction Fund is a six-year initiative launched in 2015, as part of Ontario’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, to support community-driven projects that improve the lives of those most affected by poverty. Funded initiatives support and evaluate poverty reduction initiatives, create partnerships, and help forge a body of evidence of programs that work for Ontarians living in poverty.
The Ontario150 Community Capital Program provides one-time funding (2016/2017) to enhance the public places and spaces where Ontarians will come together in 2017 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada and the Province of Ontario. The program supports the repair, renovation or retrofit of existing facilities for community use.
