How do I apply?

1.

Learn more about the YOF
If you haven’t already, take a few minutes to scan the About the YOF Presentation (pdf). This will give you a quick snapshot of the YOF.

For a deeper dive into the YOF, review the 2017-2018 YOF Program Guidelines (pdf).

2.

Complete the YOF Self-Assessment
Complete the on-line YOF Self-Assessment (survey) to see if you and your initiative are a good fit with the YOF

3.

Review Application Tools
Review the application questions, application writing tips and consider the YOF assessment criteria to ensure you can provide us with the information we need to fairly assess your project idea.

4.

Participate in information webinars and Idea Labs

Throughout the summer, we will offer information sessions via webinar for those who want to learn more about the YOF and ask questions. 

youth-led groups! We will host Idea Labs in communities across the province. In these workshops, groups will have a chance to do some hands-on work to build ideas for community change.

5.

Register your organization or group by 5 p.m. on July 19, 2017 closed

Before you can apply to the YOF, you will need to register your group or organization.
Register early! Once your registration is reviewed and verified, we will send you an email with your user ID, temporary password and instructions on how to access the online application.

Access your profile using your user ID and password to view the online YOF Application – Expression of Interest (EOI). If you can’t access the YOF EOI, please call the YOF Team – 1.800.263.2887 or email yof@otf.ca

registered or applied to otf before?
YOF needs to update your account. Please call the YOF Team – 1.800.263.2887 or email yof@otf.ca before July 19th, 2017, to receive access.

Only registered organizations and groups will be able to submit an Expression of Interest.

6.

Submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) on-line by 5 p.m. ET on August 2, 2017 CLOSED
The EOI must be completed and submitted online. Let us know if you require an alternative method for submitting the EOI. In fairness to all, late submissions cannot be accepted.

All EOIs will be reviewed by the Grant Review Committee (GRC). All applicants will receive news on the status of their EOI at the end of September 2017.

7.

Shortlisted EOI applicants will be asked to submit a Full Application online by 5 p.m. ET on November 15, 2017

Only shortlisted EOI applicants will be invited to submit a Full Application.

All Full Applications will be reviewed by the Grant Review Committee (GRC). Due to high demand,  not all Full Applications can be funded. All applicants will received news on the status of their Full Application in March 2018.
